Evan and Katie VanDoren are two very talented and accomplished music educators! In this episode, they let us in on some ways they work together as a team both in music and in their marriage to bring out the best in each other!

Katie is a Band Director at Vandegrift HS in Austin, TX and Evan is a former band director who now runs his own music arranging and consulting company, VanDoren Music. They’re both currently on Staff at the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps – Evan as the Brass Arranger and Katie as the Assistant Brass Caption Manager.

They’re a great example of what it’s like to fully support and believe in your spouse and their abilities. They lead busy lives, but have learned how to divide tasks and maximize their time in order to keep up with work and home responsibilities. No matter how busy life gets, they make it a priority to spend quality time together to continue investing in their marriage!
