Fender Princeton DISGUISED as a Gibson Skylark

1 min read

In this video, we’ll examine a 1964 Gibson Skylark GA-5T. We’ll completely service and recap it, and then we’ll look at the schematic and talk about how similar this amp is to an AA964 Fender Princeton Amp from the same time. Both are 10″ combos, but the similarities do not stop there. Finally, we’ll do some mods such as removing the tone-sucking network and adding an output jack. Then we’ll demo it with my PRS CE24 and my ZIO Meteora Custom.
