Star was 1st on the field in percussion this night with a red hot performance which scored 9.8 out of 10.0 in field percussion. The field percussion judge was Mr. Chuck King. On this video dub, you can see where Mr. King was while he made his comments.
In total percussion (field + ensemble perc) this night, Star tied with Cavaliers (Star 9.8 field, 9.6 ens / Cavies 9.6 field, 9.8 ens). The next night at finals with a different judge and different perspective, Star was awarded 2nd place in drums(tied with cadets) and Cavaliers were 1st..
