Learning To Drum – Season 1, Episode 26: Two New Exercises, Study #13 Focusing on Triplet 16th Notes
1 min readThis week we learn two new exercises: Da Da Digga Digga and Digga Digga Darz. These are two popular warm-ups and have many variations. Da Da Digga Digga helps you understand the difference between regular 16th notes and triplet 16th notes by using the eighth as the common denominator. Much like using the quarter note last week as the common denominator with triplet eight and regular eighth notes, the eighth note allows you to do the same for triplet 16th and regular 16th notes. We also cover Study #13 using this method. Be sure to pick up your copy of Learning to Drum Book 1 today!
