From a regional corps to World Class
DCI dates Gold’s founding to 2005 in Hawthorne, California. A first championship trip came in 2012. Its 2013 East Meets West featured guest acrobats from China’s Laizhou Martial Arts Institute. The corps earned its first Open Class bronze and first World Championship semifinal appearance in 2018. At the 2025 Open Class finals, Gold took silver with 80.875. The result belongs to that division and year; it should be preserved as Open Class history even after the program changes divisions. Official 2025 score table.
