Pasco, WA · DRUMCORPS.NET PROFILE
Pasco / Washington Tri-Cities · DCI Open Class · Resumed modern competition in 2013 ·
A familiar name with a modern beginning
DCI traces the original Columbians name to a Pasco corps in the 1930s, with a later role serving Tri-Cities youth in the 1960s and 1970s. The modern corps returned to the DCI tour in 2013. It is useful to describe this as a revival of a local identity rather than assume uninterrupted operation across those decades. Early modern seasons focused on regional touring; the first journey to the DCI World Championships came in 2023. DCI corps history.
Selected recent competitive record
At the 2025 Open Class championship finals in Marion, Indiana, Columbians finished fourth with 77.775. Spartans, Gold and The Battalion occupied the medal positions. A fourth-place Open Class result describes that division’s championship event and should not be confused with a World Class final placement. Official 2025 results.
