The corps’ 2003 “Illusions” show began with “A Kaleidoscope of Mathematics,” the James Horner theme from the 2001 film, “A Beautiful Mind.” Horner is a prolific composer for films and multitudes of his works have been performed on the drum corps field. The Ron Howard directed film won the 2002 Academy Award for Best Picture.
