Lonach Pipe Band march on playing Minstrel Boy set during 2021 Braemar Gathering Games in Scotland

The Lonach Pipe Band, led by Pipe Major Alastair Laing, march in front of the Braemar Gathering Pavilion playing a series of bagpipe tunes during the 2021 Braemar Gathering Highland Games day on 4th September . The tunes are “Minstrel Boy”, “Bonnie Lass o’ Fyvie”, Braes of Killiecrankie” and “The Rose of Allendale”, with a repeat of the set.

The Games themselves had been cancelled in 2021 but the Braemar Royal Highland Society marked the day with a parade and displays of piping and dancing in the Games field. The Society piper Martin Johnston is part of the Lonach Pipe Band and is in the band playing here.The Lonach Pipe Band are based in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and they wear Gordon tartan.
