The Drumslingers snare drummers shown in this video “jamming” on an idea which eventually became one of our parade cadence beats. We make up our own stuff and it usually starts with somebody playing a catchy riff and showing it to the rest of the line. It is a process of narrative show-and-tell; there are no written scores.
