Very few drummers have had as strong an influence on music and drumming in the last four decades as Steve Gadd. One of the most well known and highly regarded session and studio drummers in the industry, we are so proud to call him a Yamaha Artist. In this video Steve Gadd sits down with leading UK drumming YouTuber Ben Minal for an exclusive interview in London on his day off from James Taylor’s Tour. In this forty minute interview the two drummers dive into musicality, groove, creativity and how Steve takes inspiration from other players.

Yamaha Drums are proud to announce a partnership with leading UK drumming YouTuber Ben Minal to create a series of interviews with various players. Ben plays drums in the bands Toska and Dorje, as well as making YouTube videos to inspire his 30k+ subscribers. He is also the co-founder of Musicisum, a platform that has taught over 60k people around the world how to play music. This new series will see Ben meet Yamaha artists based in the UK, or traveling through, to capture relaxed interviews with an aim of getting a true insight of what makes them tick, how they approach their instrument and of course as many tips, tricks and hacks as possible on the way
