A DAY WITH THE CADETS 2013

Another great year for The Grid Book Series annual trip to the Cadets rehearsal in Atlanta, GA! We spent the entire day with The Cadets Percussion Section from the sectional blocks in the morning, to full corps rehearsal on the field, all the way through the lot at the show site.

This year we really focused on capturing the process of how to run a world class percussion program. At 51min 25sec run time, this film is an “un-cut” glimpse of a day with the 2013 High Percussion Award Winning Cadets Percussion Section.

Enjoy!

  1. Sometimes i wish i hadn't given up on drum corp. I was 4th bass my freshman year of highschool, and was snare my sophmore and junior year. In my senior year, i thought my life was too good for my corp. so i quit. Now im a freshman in college, and wishing i hadnt given up so easily. I am wanting to get back into it, but i havent had any success. So, i guess my drumming days are a day of they past unfortunetly. I still do practice from time to time though. Only one can dream.

  2. Saw this line at the Massillon show at the beginning of Finals week that year. 7 years later the ‘13 Cadets is still sticks (for me personally) out as the best drumline I’ve ever seen.

  3. Being that it's 2021, this is still one of my favorites lines of all time. This shit is the cleanest thing I've ever heard and it's just ridiculous the notes they're playing!
